Wow… the meeting was.... rough. Took an hour. The printing and Secretarial Work? THAT took 3 hours. Total of 4 hours. Half my day right there. So tired. So hungy. Must force myself to take lunch break.

Then I almost cried. I was thinking there are 16 days left in 2016. There will still be deaths this year. And this year has had many deaths. The ones that hit me hard? David Bowie, Antonin Scalia, Prince, my Grandfather, Elie Wiesel, Gene Wilder, Leonard Cohen, John Glenn… there are more that happened but those were the deaths that hit me and produced an instant reaction. And then a thought occurred… Michael J. Fox. I have loved that man (not like that) since 1985! Spin City was the first television show to make me laugh out loud… and I remember that moment distinctly. If 2016 takes Michael J Fox… I will be so pissed off and inconsolable. So… I’m really really hoping 2016 leaves it’s dirty mitts off that man!

Then the lunch break (which was mostly running errands to ship things for Christmas) took a solid 90 minutes. (Fucking living in the middle of GD nowhere!) Leaving very little time for anything else. Gawd… I would so dearly like to cancel my presence at this Community Lawyer thing but… I feel that as both a Government Employee and as a Young Lawyer; I really have no rights to excuse myself from such a gathering. I just hope that, what with the people in attendance being so elderly, the dinner begins at either 6 or 7 (since we are to arrive at 5:30). Because if I have to be at this thing much past 8, I’ll be chewing my own arm off making for the door.
