I don’t know why that’s my title, but it is. Usually, this involves pets on Instagram, right? But I guess instead I’m sticking my virtual tongue out at you. Lovingly, of course.
So, remember I told you how my brother (who lives in China) wants to be a “better brother” to me and wants to work on our relationship? Well, we’ve been emailing back and forth, and I mentioned that I’d like to get something nice for our parents from the both of us and we could figure out how he would pay me back sometime later. I just thought it would be a cool thing to do, with him being so far away and all…and he won’t be back here for Christmas?
Well, he agreed, but now I’m stumped on what to get them. He was no help, either. No suggestions… but he thought it was a cool idea.
I would get them plane tickets back to China (I bought them tickets when my brother was getting married), but the trip to China almost killed them both. It was very hard on them - even though they flew Business Class it was still a rough trip, and my mother says she doesn’t want to go back because it was so hard on her health. Yet, my dad says he’d love to go! But he had a hard time as well, apparently losing his credit card at one point (he never told me that), and getting so upset that he was shaking, looking like he was about to have a heart attack (again, never told me - my brother told me).
Anyway, I don’t want to get them tickets…but I want to do something else that’s kind of cool. Any suggestions? They don’t like going away someplace far, but I thought it would be nice to send them somewhere awesome. Like, an experience. I just don’t know what to do.
I’ve already gotten them several goodies: mom wanted a purse, dad wanted wireless speakers, I got them a back massage pillow and a few other things. I just can’t figure out what to do about a WOW gift.
This is what happens when you don’t have a significant other! How sad. Or not, depending on how you look at it, right?
So. I haven’t heard anything on the new job front so far this week. Not sure when I’m going to hear, but what I do know is that a camera crew is doing all of this video filming today, and they were here all day yesterday. They were even interviewing some of the staff, of course, not my team because my boss does not believe in giving anyone on his team any glory, publicity or recognition.
Also, of course, the CEO wants my dog to be part of whatever this thing is that they are filming. So there it is, my dog will get the glory and I’ll stand on the sidelines.
I sound bitter, don’t I? Childish. Bratty. Petty.
Yes, I need a change of pace/scenery/whatever.
I honestly really just need to get the eff away from Negative C. She brings me down so hard.
Okay, I need to get going for now. I have a meeting in 3 minutes…
