Hi,

I'm sorry I didn't want to talk to you today. I thought it would be very awkward, at least today, anyway.

I know I could have handled things better on the phone. I'm sorry. It was a difficult and stressful moment.

I want us to remain friends, and I hope this doesn't change things. I think the awkwardness will diminish after a day or so.

If you still want to do the Friday concert - and I think you should - the plan now is for my dad to come and pick us all up at school. I'm assuming that Greg's going to drive himself and his drums, and that all our stuff will fit into my Dad's car.

I would never be able to do what you did.

Hey.

Thanks for emailing me about it. It's okay, really. To be perfectly honest, I was expecting you to say no, I just wanted to make sure that nothing could ever happen before I started the getting-over-you process. I can totally understand being freaked out in a situation like that - I mean, I had time to prepare, but you had like two seconds to respond. You probably handled it better than I would have.

Anyway, of course I am going to do Friday's performance. Remember what I said about not killing the band? If your dad's willing to drive that'll work, but Molly's going anyway to play a classical something, so she offered to drive too. The only thing is, she'd have to take the bus home and then drive back to get us. So... I guess we can do whatever you think will work. Talk to me about it at school.

Alright, well, I hope we can really just get over this and that things will stop being awkward quickly. I'm not saying I'm not disappointed, but, you know, I'll be fine.

-Aidan
