Yay! I am wicked excited right now. What is the cause of this excitement? Has my love life taken an unexpected turn for the better? Has some new oppurtunity opened up for me and my band? Have I aquired a job, car, or trombone? No...
WE'RE GETTING A NEW COMPUTER!!
Oh man, I can't wait. It's going to be awesome. I love this computer like it's my little brother, and it's always been good to me, but... it's five years old. It is so old that it is not compatable with iTunes, Garage Band, iMovie, AIM or Office Mac. (what makes it possible to be a member of mainstream society while still having an Apple.) We got our computer before iTunes existed. Isn't that crazy? My mom's laptop has all the stuff I just mentioned, but it's all going to be bigger and better on the G5, and it's going to be in MY ROOM. Yes!
Anyway, my mom won't buy the computer until school's out, bacause she thinks (and rightly so) that if she bought it now, both of us would just completely blow off school work and spend all our time playing with the new crap on the computer. Even so, we went to to the mall yesterday just to hang out at the Apple store and see what it can do. We stood at seperate G5s. She talked to this girl who worked there about all the new stuff iMovie can do, and I recorded a twelve bar blues on Garage Band, soloed over it, and saved it as a song on iTunes. Then this fat guy with a Confucius beard came up to me and told me that it was cool, and then we talked about music and how much better macs are than PCs. It turns out that as part of his job at the Apple store, he writes the demonstrations on Garage Band that are so cool, they make people who come into the store want to buy Garage Band. Wow. Good times at the Apple store talking to nerdy musicians with awesome facial hair.
I haven't been able to remember my dreams lately, but I do remember waking up in the middle of the night last night (or, based on the hours I slept, more likely around six or seven in the morning) after I dreampt that Adam got Ivy pregnant. If that's not a nightmare, nothing is. My overall reaction, rather than being shocked that he had sex with her at all, was, "What?! Why did he have sex with her and not me?"
This dream probably stems from: A. My mom asking whether he and Ivy were going out again after Memorial Day (they're not. They're just better friends now that Adam is going out with someone Ivy doesn't know rather than someone she hates.) B. Talking to him online yesterday and getting slightly angry over the fact that his away message and profile were both about love, and C. The fact that I wonder sometimes whether, after dating two juniors and going to the prom with one of them, he is still a virgin.
Health class could have helped too. Ha. Health class is so awkward.
Anyway... somebody leave me some notes. It's beeen like, at least two weeks.
EDIT: Okay, so it's been more like ten days. Whatever.
