11.2 Love the Egg You're In in These Foolish Things

I got one of those inspirational emails from one of those inspirational websites that you sign up for when you’re feeling blue and you want some inspiration in your inbox, you know?

I do a lot of deletion of emails that look like ads, and normally I skip over the emails from this particular website, but for some reason I clicked on this one last night during my packing procrastination.

And something about it stuck with me.

The gist of the email was about incubation periods and the hope of what is yet to come while you sit in your shell and wait to become whatever you’re supposed to become. And it went on to say consider the benefits of the place you’re in while you become the you that you dream of…

Peace, space, privacy…

And I realize that I kind of love this place. It’s a quiet and cozy place.

But it’s getting me ready for what’s about to come. And I know it’s going to come, finally. I just don’t know how soon.

Still, the email felt so timely. Like I do have a little ways to go before I’m ready to hatch. Patience. You can’t rush hatching. It’s dangerous to do so. So savor the now.

And oh, when I finally do hatch…!!

I’m at the airport waiting for my plane to arrive. I got here a little early because there were thunderstorms in the area and I needed to get to the airport during rush hour (because I also worked a full day so I wouldn’t have to take any vacation time for today).

But NOW. I’m on vacation for a couple of days. Elaine is already at our Airbnb - a loft we have rented for a few days in the heart of town. She’s already scoped some places out. There’s a BAR above our loft?! This could get very interesting.

Perhaps we’ll break out of our eggshells a bit this weekend?! ;)
