Yesterday I had to do something I rarely do… I went to the dr.
I had been feeling unwell for a few days - temp was hanging out around 103, even after 1000mg of tylenol and my throat felt like I swallowed a cactus. All classic symptoms of strep. Did the test, and of course I'm strep positive. This wouldn't be so horrible if I hadn't JUST gotten over strep throat about a month ago. Exact same thing! I have not been "sick" in years and haven't had an antibiotic in more than a decade, but have had to take penicillin twice this year due to strep. :-/ Coincidentally, this is the first year I have ever received the flu vaccine. It was mandatory since I am in the nursing program - trust me, I tried everything to get out of it. I was able to get titers for everything else, but they wouldn't budge on the flu vaccine. All I know is that this year I have been more unwell than I ever have before, and I have worked in healthcare since I was 18 (as CNA, Medical Assistant, and Secretary) so I know it isn't exposure related.
I hope these antibiotics don't interfere with my 2ww and implantation if this is my month. They do help though - 24hrs post dr visit and 4 pills into my rx of 30 and I already feel 100% better.
