Margaret Cho was pretty damn funny, as expected. Having said that though, she did repeat quite a few jokes that cracked others up but not me so much but I knew I was gonna get that, having been the 4th time I’ve seen her live.
Vish and James rocked up JUST on time, making Carly and I wait outside until they arrived (as I had the tickets grrr). Should have known to just give them the damn tickets to make their own way in. Vish being late ALL the time is one of Carly’s vices, so him just rocking up with like 3 minutes to spare was really cutting it fine lol.
I mentioned it to him after Carly left, and he was quick to defend himself saying, ‘Well she should have told me’ and I’m like, “Well, we could have been inside getting a drink at the bar rather than waiting outside for you to get your act together.’ Anyway, not a big deal. We all got there and went in together and had a good night.
She was pretty full-on this time though in some of the stuff she was joking about, like how her uncle had raped her as a child, but she’s big on the whole conquering-back-your-body thing and getting rousing applause from the crowds for calling out people like that. Not sure how true it is. I can only assume you wouldn’t make up a joke like that. Anyway. Main point is that she was hilarious.
I saw on her Instagram that she was at the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary and had a great time. I was thinking like, ‘Wow, out of all the places you could have gone, you pick there?’ Zzzzzzzzzz. Just like the koalas.
Her support act was pretty hilarious. A guy I hadn’t heard of who is apparently in like 3 U.S. TV shows. I thought he was a typical American gay male (Going off the ‘Looking’-look here) with the beard happening and a little bit Hipster. Until he said that he represented the ‘T’ in ‘LGBT’. Shit, who knew? He was born female, and went on to tell a lot of jokes about his detachable penis.

Anyway, I walked Carly back to the train station and I said I wanted to get a photo with her. Vish got out his phone, but I was like, “No I want one taken with my phone because I know I’ll never see it if Vish takes one.” You live and learn with that guy I tell ya what. I’m pretty sure I have photos on his phone that were taken two years ago that I’ve yet to see. So I handed the phone to James and this is how it turned out. You’ve probably already seen it on Facey. I then went back to their place for a coffee even though I should have gone straight home to sleep, but James was nice and offered me a lift home.

So good! I love it. I think it's awesome that she talks about the rough stuff to make it real and cope with it. I did much of the same thing.
