It's strange not having anything scheduled this morning. Originally I only had one appointment today, then a second appointment was added. But the best part is they're both in the afternoon. One is a 30 minute visit between 12:00 and 2:00, and the other is a 15 minute visit between 1:30 and 3:30. I pretty much get a two hour window per appointment, and I can play with my schedule as long as the schedules dogs get walked for their selected amount of time in that time frame. So I can walk dog #1 from 1:00 to 1:30, and then drive to dog #2 and walk him from 1:50-2:05. Then I'm done.
Well, mostly done. I'm going out to dinner with my boss and the other employees tonight. Apparently she's treating us to dinner as a Christmas bonus type thing. We're not going anywhere special, and it's relatively local. The only thing I'm not very thrilled with is that it means going out at night in my truck. The truck with crappy reverse lights, which means I won't be able to back into the driveway when I get home because I won't be able to see where I'm going. And it also means I have to park on the grass, where we snowblowed a parking spot, because of the parking situation.
Usually I back my truck in as far back as I can go next to the garage, and then Bill backs his truck in in front of mine, and plugs his truck in. He can't park behind me because he leaves first in the morning and it would just suck having to move my truck so he can get to work. When there isn't over a foot of snow on the ground it's not such a big deal - he just just drive up on the grass and around my truck, but there's just too much snow for that.
I had a short emotional breakdown last night when I had to park in the grass. I sent Bill a text saying I had to park my truck like crap and not to say anything about it when he got home because I was already upset that I couldn't back my truck in because I got home after it got dark. He understood my frustration, and told me I DO have reverse lights, they're just not very bright, and it's possible to fix.
It's about 9:40 now, and I'm still in my pajamas. I should shower, so that my hair dries by the time I have to go out in the cold. And so that after I walk those two dogs I can straighten my hair for tonight. I'm debating on whether or not I should put on some make up. I don't usually, but I might. Maybe. Then again, maybe not.
Tomorrow morning starts off hectic, as usual when I have P&A (two dogs at one house) and B&B (two dogs at another house.) Remember how I said most of my appointments are within a 2 hour window? These aren't. For some reason P&A get a one hour window, and B&B gets a specific time - 9:30am. This normally wouldn't really be an issue, but these two houses are 30 minutes away from eachother, and even though P&A's visit is only 15 minutes, I still can't get to B&B by 9:30. So I end up late, because my window for both of these visits is 9-10am.
Then after I finish with B&B, I have to go BACK to P&A between 11:00 and 12:00.
And then my schedule gets easier, and I can actually get to where I'm supposed to be when I'm supposed to be there.
But THEN... (I've used the word "then" a lot) I have a meeting at 5:30pm. I'll be getting more information on Damsel in Defense (DID) and ordering my kit. I'm super excited about that. This kit I'm ordering comes with everything Damsel in Defense sells. I talked to my doctor at the VA and she's really interested in me having a table at the VA to sell some DID product - it is afterall about empowering women, and my doctor is the women's health clinic doctor, so she's ALL about helping women stand up for themselves. DID is all about that too. Hopefully that will get me started with this business. If I can get a table at the VA even just one day a month at the VA I will probably be able to bring in a decent amount of cash to toss into savings.
The sooner I can build that savings account, the sooner I can get that divorce and the sooner Bill and I can move forward and get our own place. (Or should I say, Bill, Ranger, and I!)
I've babbled enough for this morning. I'll add a link to my website once I get everything set up with DID, and I'll let you know which states I can legally sell product in too. Massachusetts - sorry, but you're not one of them.
