It occurs to me, apropos of absolutely nothing, that the calendar is just wrong.
Shouldn’t October be the EIGHTH month of the year?
I mean look at the (Latin) prefix.
For that matter, shouldn’t September be the seventh?
And November the ninth?
And December the tenth?
How did the cardinal name numbering of the months get so out of whack?
Not exactly a deep thought morning, but there it is.
