Shirt and tie in Stuff

Tomorrow is meant to be 24 degrees and sunny. Couldn’t be more perfect of a day for a wedding!

I worked today. It was an alright shift. The area manager was in (yet again!) and it was amusing seeing all my workmates actually working because he was in the store LOL. Wow, who knew? They CAN lift a finger!

Anyway, it was my short day, so I just went to Big W after work on the off-chance that they might sell black ties, which I need for the wedding tomorrow, now that I am one of the best men.
They are each having two best men, but I’m unsure on if there will be bridesmaids? I haven’t heard anything.
If they only have best men, does that mean when I get married that I should have ONLY Maids Of Honour? LOL.
Are roles swapped in same-sex weddings?

Anyway, they did have one black tie, so I figured that would do. They also had a plain white long-sleeved shirt near there and it was only $29 so I pretty much paid $45ish for both the shirt and the tie, so at least now I should look the part :)
I just have to give it a bit of an iron, and hope like hell I don’t spill anything on it until after the wedding.
I know I’ll just wear something else and only put the shirt on once I get there tomorrow.

I’m picking up the car at 8:30am tomorrow. I’m never sure if I should get the insurance or not. It really is just a scared-tax, but opting in for it would pretty much double the price of the car rental itself. So I have to umm and ahh over the likelihood of something happening to the car or an accident etc.
I’ve never had an issue in the past, but I just never know. I usually make my mind up once I’m there. I’ll have it for 5 days this time. It used to never be a problem when my work paid the insurance for me (it was part of a staff deal) but that ended a while ago now.

Also on my way home, I stopped in at the new BWS in the city to look for some alcohol for James, since I’d yet to have gotten him a birthday present.
I’m not sure if he will appreciate it though, because he’s been into fitness lately and alcohol might be a bad choice of gift to give him.
Anyway, I decided to go with the Absolut Vailla Vodka this time around, as I know he likes vanilla in other drinks, so why not booze? :P

I’ll give it to him when I see him next. No rush. It’s already a belated gift.

After the wedding, I’ll probably come home for a bit, before heading off to Sheldon’s birthday party. I’m looking forward to seeing him, but I get the feeling he will be the only person I know there, so I might feel a bit awkward. Especially when he is surrounded by all his friends and family. And it’s an all-you-can-eat, so I can’t just excuse myself after the meal without making value of it. Ergh. Hopefully there’s someone nice there who is easy to talk to. Or maybe I can sneak him off to the bathroom to give him an ‘extra’ birthday gift :P Yeah, right!

It should be a pretty good day tomorrow.

I feel like a good idea would be to have a mix of men and women on each side. Or just figure out if you have more female or male friends and go with that :p
