I find it very funny how the brain works.

When I was growing up I was so totally into Duran Duran. I mean school girl squees whenever a video came on Mtv.. yes, they used to actually play music.

They were on the Today show this morning and I squeed like a 13 year old girl, and set the DVR to tape it… tape? eh. Whatever you want to call it.

So now I’m having to listen to the greatest hits album. I remember every fucking word to every fucking song. I guess my brain latched on to the words because it was a decent time in my life. Plus I don’t know how many times I listened to the albums. Yes, vinyl. Albums. With liner notes.

Another thing about me is that I’ve always been addicted to Swedish fish. I’d go down to Little Danny’s store by the pahk to buy penny candy and it was usually the first to go in the brown paper bag. That and these caramel lolly pops. I forget the name. They looked like Dum Dums. I’m eating some Swedish fish right now.

Today has turned out to be a little bit nostalgic.

It is interesting to think about what was our addictions of adolescence. My roommate listened to Jethro Tull over and over. I had a thing for Todd Rundgren although music was always blaring....

:) I started appreciating Tull when I got out of the Duran phase into my party teen years. Nothing like listening to music like that while getting stoned

Duran Duran - yes yes yes yes yes! I'm still into them, and tossing around the idea of actually braving a park full of people to see them live in August, in the summer heat - at Noon (NOON? What are we, ancient?) - Ice Cube is on after...he'd be one not to miss, either. I assume D2 can't miss the Blue Plate Special.

GO AND SEE THEM!!! I would brave anything to see them. As long as I had water I guess. If you do see them, take lots of pics and share them :)
