I got an estimate on how much money i would need to complete my house purchase. I should have known that i wasn’t ready- its more than i have. What option? Get into my 403B retirement account (i started that because i began teaching like 10 years after most people do and i needed to save a little extra money)? Any financial planner would strongly advise against it.
Why did i choose this life? Our society does not support people with one income or who are living on the margins of being able to support themselves (not that i am anywhere near that, i am blessed to have a steady income).
i feel devastated. i was not meant to own a home. i knew that. i just got so excited.

Sorry to hear this.
There are times when it might not make the most financial sense but it can still be the right move, particularly if you are in a hot housing market. Consider the balance.

Thank you. My realtor said we could negotiate the closing costs after the inspection- since it is a 75 year old house there are bound to be fixes that need to be done. So, i guess i say, "i can get the fixes done if you cover the closing fees."
So it goes
