I was getting settled with this absence
then your neighborhood came parading through
my cubes bounced off the sides as they were refilled
we started talking and suddenly the deafening pleasure
was surrounded with you in my pocket
six inches tall
you were waking up with me every morning
there you are, next to me
I can’t fill you in the distance it takes
but if your head was next to mine

would you be the spark in my plug
after all was spent and done
the total loss of emotion
you plugged in and recharged me
since we’ve not yet met but
you’ve given me the lightness in my step
with our miles apart
how could you
how could you
how could you do such a thing to me
all is a game?

Late at night
when I am blackened
you ring me and I’m so absent
there you are
you are here, what are you wanting
what did you need
was I a toy
that just needed jested
or was this a game we played
I lost it in the flood

Well I felt you near and dear
and when you weren’t
when it wasn’t fine
there was no longer rest
so take your fire and flood
tell me honestly what was it worth

Here she said
I’m not ready
for your discourse
for my divorce
the year she said I moaned
for what I know
we are lost as we are both abandoned

and we’re fire in the flood
so can we always feel about
when we’re needing attention
if only your head were next to mine
what would happen?
As we present ourselves.
