Lorelei has hit full toddler mode. It was only a matter of time. After all, she’s getting close to being two. She thinks everything is hers, and runs up to people yelling “no, no!” when someone has something she thinks is just hers, like when another kid was on the swing set at her grandparents’ house. When Cannon is doing something against the established rules that she’s aware of, she will often wag her finger at him and shout “no! no!” The other day she said “no! We don’t hit!”

It’s really adorable, actually.

She’s also really into pretending to wash things and she sings this “wash wash” song she made up.

She’s starting to catch on to colors, and calls everything “yellow” but I think she’ll know the difference soon. I’m teaching her colors, and she generally repeats the names of the colors of things I tell her. She also thinks all letters are the letter “i” right now.

Cannon has been pretty sick, but he’s finally getting better. He had his first ER trip Sunday morning at 1am because Jacob and I freaked out. He hasn’t thrown up for had diarrhea today! Yay! He’ll be going back to school tomorrow.

He sang a song today that I didn’t know he knew: “row your boat.” At his IEP meeting they said he can count to 12, but I know that’s bullshit. He counted to 29 in the car on the way to Easter festivities at his grandparents’ house. He thinks 30 is “twenty ten” and I cannot convince him otherwise yet. He’s a stubborn little dude. I wonder where he gets that. :P

He likes to make up stories about his trains, and imitate stories from Thomas the Train.

Cannon and Lorelei have also been wrestling and hitting each other a lot. Just normal sibling stuff. I’ve had to intervene a lot. They’re really mean to each other sometimes. ;(
