You wanna guess what I found this morning? Yes, you are right, my missing debit card!
One of the things I learned from living with Fred when he was so afraid of falling was not to leave shoes and slippers lying about on the floor where they could be tripped over. I have continued doing this for myself because it is a good habit so this morning after I was dressed, I bent down to put my slippers under the chair at the bottom of my bed. And there was my debit card.
I know what happened. When I get ready for bed, if I am going to wear the same jeans the next day, they are tossed on the chair. So, my card which I had carelessly not put away slithered out and onto the floor. It has been cancelled now and I will be getting a new one in a few days. The inconvenience of having to cancel the old one on line for Amazon and my phone and put in the numbers of the new one is the universe’s reminder to me to be more careful!
I just got a phone call reminding me that tomorrow between 8 AM and 10 AM someone will come to pick up the Smart car and take it to have the back deck fixed. He will be also leaving behind the car he came in so I can use it while mine is being fixed. Since for the last three days I have woken AT 8 AM, I should probably set my alarm earlier than that!

glad you found it but, sorry you have to wait for a new card. i'm still searching in the house for a bank credit card. i got it, put it somewhere safe, and now i can't remember where it put it. in a few days, i'll call and request another card. take care,

I lost a debit card about a year and a half ago and never found it. I never bothered to cancel it and get a new one, I figured the old one would turn up as soon as I did, and I use my credit cards for most things anyway. I've done just fine without it the last year and a half, I just wonder now where the darn thing is.

When my two sons were younger, they never heard the word "leftovers" without the adjective "delicious" in front of it!
