You're Still the One in The Thoughts of 2016

I sent my salary expectations to that recruiter on Sunday night this week and have been in a private kind of torture since, waiting for some kind of response from them. She called this afternoon and said they’re still interested and have been trying to set up dates for me to meet the HR Regional Manager, HR Director and Plant Manager. Turns out the HR Regional Mgr is coming to my neck of the woods at the beginning of March, so she is going to set up a face-to-face between the two of us here and then if all goes well, they’ll pay for me to fly over to WI and actually tour the plant and meet the rest of the team there. Amazing.

It dawned on me the other day that when I first was looking at starting up a small business in my hometown that one of the influential businessmen/bankers there in town mentioned that he could get me a really good interest rate/small business loan (like 1.5%) so if I do get a job offer, I think I’ll call him up and see if he could swing something for us so that we could buy the apt/business/horse property under that type of loan and save us even more money.

Lots to think about, but I’m trying to remind myself that a) this is an adventure - not a problem and b) there are sooo many “pros” to this and the only significant “con” is the fact that I might be separated from DH and the animals for a few months until our house would sell here and his immigration stuff sorts itself. Hopefully it would be a quick time period. In the great scheme of things, a few months is not a big deal. Right?
