In the past few..umm..years, I have debated blogging..not blogging..blogging..not blogging…squirrel! And finally, here we are. You and me, a stale cup of coffee, and a cat with a surprisingly cold nose occasionally wandering by to add a few “posiddoijbcs”s to our conversation. Now then, let’s get cozy and discover what this first post of years will be…
Why did I quit blogging in the first place? I don’t know how many of you know the site OpenDiary…and I do realize that I am putting myself out there to look like that girl who still loves MySpace…but I was an avid fan. It was a wonderful community of strangers I’d never met who knew me better than anyone. And then it crashed and burned with no notice. (Can you add pixelated explosions mid-story on here, by the way? Because that would be awesome…) What is NOT awesome is losing years and years of self-history and cherished reminders of what sunsets look like to you when they’re just that perfect shade of orange, or how you might have seen a unicorn but you’re not sure and now ALL of those comments other people left you about how to KNOW if you saw a unicorn are gone. Bitches. And so it was. I stood caught in a circle of “To blog or not to blog” for ages until I decided…eh..Fuck it.
I can honestly say, I’m not sure what this adventure holds. This might be a blog about my crazy students…or their parents. It could be a blog about the terrors of pregnancy…or infertility. This might be a page full of love stories featuring my amazing husband and my qpoeijboic…cat…who frequently tries to die on me. Most likely, it will be all of these things…sprinkled with the occasional ADDish thought on unicorns, breezes, and why in the hell we don’t have teleporters by now, and also why there are so many unusual YouTube videos about teleporters. Seriously. This:

And there we have it. 10:49pm. January 4th, 2016. The silence is lost. RIP.
