Another delicious day. I’d give it an 8.
Started out this morning with a walk a few blocks down to where there was a marathon taking place. It was rainy and cold, but the air was magical. It was so inspiring to see the runners and hear the crowd cheering. I’ve always kind of fantasized about running this particular marathon, and seeing it live really made me want to be a part of that action. Even the half-marathon looked amazing.
Then home to the warmth. Made a couple of lattes and some breakfast and started in on wrapping gifts and making my vanilla treats. Six batches later, some laundry and presents all wrapped and I’m ready for tomorrow.
Not really.
I am dreading tomorrow because it’s the only day I’m going to be in the office and there’s two HUGE meetings this coming week: one in Los Angeles that I will be attending and another in Nashville, which I will not be attending.
I’m staying in L.A. for the remainder of the week this week and I’m so looking forward to it. I’m sure Wednesday (which will be considered a workday) will be nice and stressful, but the rest of the week should be…what word can I use to describe it? Exciting? But that’s not descriptive enough. Exhilarating? Delectable? Insane?
I guess we’ll find out.
On Friday I’m heading south to Orange County to see my friend Anna who lives in Laguna. She and her husband have a boat and as it turns out, the Newport Christmas Boat Festival will be going on…so, looks like we will be partying it up on the Ocean on Friday night!! I’m really looking forward to that!
And yes, as you know I’ve made some plans with the Bulldog. I’m actually kind of excited because we made some dinner plans for Thursday evening that I’m looking forward to as well.
And I can definitely use the you-know-what that should follow.
Will we be using each other? Sure. I know what I’m getting into here. But I also know that I like what I’m getting into. I just have to promise, promise, PROMISE myself that I don’t get wrapped up in feelings.
OK. Better wrap up and hit the hay. It’s going to be a crazy week.
