Life Is For Living December 07, 2014

I think I may cheat & use the book I am currently reading to begin the challenge, as well. It fills a few of the prompts & I will probably need a bit of a jump start ^_^

I am so nerdy though, I feel slightly dirty at beginning the challenge before the official new year, lulz

Hillbilly Princess December 07, 2014

Avalon December 07, 2014

I can't believe there are three weeks left in the year. Holy crap.

I'm glad so many of us are doing this!

LittleBlackDress December 07, 2014

That is A LOT of books, but I'm definitely tempted to try. Love the idea.

Lepetit pumpkinesque LittleBlackDress ⋅ December 07, 2014

Do it!!!

pandora December 08, 2014

When Drew and I did our book challenge, he made it to 40 books and I only made it to 32 or 33 I think. I don't think I could do 50!!

missing maui December 08, 2014

This looks so awesome. I know I would never finish, but I may join you anyway just for the fun ideas!!

EddyOut December 09, 2014

Oooh, banned books are the best books to entice my students with! "What! It's banned, I want to read it!!!" (Muahahaha!)

Jeanine December 17, 2014

I... love this idea. I've been wanting to read more (vs. watching TV at night and/or playing Candy Crush). I don't know if I can do it in a year, but I love the idea of picking random themes to get things started again. I THINK I SHALL JOIN YOU.

Lepetit pumpkinesque Jeanine ⋅ December 17, 2014

Join me!!! Because we only have six months left till our everyday challenge is over!!!!

Jeanine January 03, 2015

HOW DID YOU DO THE CHECK BOXES?!

Lepetit pumpkinesque Jeanine ⋅ January 03, 2015

I'm not telling you!!! Just kidding- hold on

Lepetit pumpkinesque Jeanine ⋅ January 03, 2015

I'm going to text it to you bc I can't write the HTML without it DOING IT here

Avalon January 04, 2015

We can do it!!

MrsJess January 04, 2015

I'm going to do this, too. Pumped!!

Lepetit pumpkinesque MrsJess ⋅ January 04, 2015

So excited!

Jeanine January 11, 2015

How was The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks? It's been on sale at Book Bub but wasn't sure if it was worth it. I'm fascinated by the idea of it.

Lepetit pumpkinesque Jeanine ⋅ January 11, 2015

It was really very good!! Not boring at all and the science was not boring. I had a few very minor issues with it but would definitely recommend!

Lepetit pumpkinesque Jeanine ⋅ January 11, 2015

Also: add yourself to the popsugar 2015 book challenge on fb if you want (that's where this list came from) the women on there are insane (like written out lists for every book they plan to read and reading four books a week hahahaha) but I am getting a lot of good ideas from them at least for new books.

Jeanine Lepetit pumpkinesque ⋅ January 11, 2015

Thanks for the review and I will check out popsugar! I need some ideas :)

EddyOut January 11, 2015

I have a recommendation for your trilogy if you haven't read it already... His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman. The first book is The Golden Compass, I know they made a terrible movie about it, but don't let that scare you- the books are incredible. I read them at 13, 19, and 26. They got better every time. I like your list.

Lepetit pumpkinesque EddyOut ⋅ January 11, 2015

I'll add them to my good reads list!!

Avalon EddyOut ⋅ January 20, 2015

One of my favorite trilogies!!

Lepetit pumpkinesque Avalon ⋅ January 20, 2015

I'm adding it to good reads :)

EddyOut January 11, 2015

I should add if you like fantasy at all and don't mind controversial themes. I think the books have been on a few banned lists.

noooncy. January 11, 2015

You're off to a great start!

Blue Bella January 12, 2015

These are awesome prompts!

eight3one January 31, 2015

Maybe you already have read it? And maybe I have already recommended it?? But YOU MUST READ THE OUTLANDER SERIES!

It will check off a book based on or turned into a TV show. And it will also change your life :)

Avalon February 17, 2015

Go you!

Jeanine February 18, 2015

You're making this list your bitch lol

I stole some [all] of your formatting because yours was much easier to read!

LittleBlackDress February 21, 2015

I also want to know how to make the check boxes!

Lepetit pumpkinesque LittleBlackDress ⋅ February 21, 2015

You write < i. class="fa fa-square-o">

(Without the space or the dot before and after the first i ) to make the box and then before the word square you write "check-" ( with the dash but not the " " )

LittleBlackDress Lepetit pumpkinesque ⋅ February 21, 2015

Thank you!!!!!

Avalon March 09, 2015

Woo hoo, you're doing great! ^_^

Jafael March 26, 2015

That is an impressive list!

Jeanine March 27, 2015

I love how you're all like "I'm a slow reader," and then you basically read one book a day!

Avalon April 06, 2015

Yay, great progress! You're kicking ass at this. ^_^

Jeanine May 06, 2015

Seriously, how did you read eight books in April!? You're a made woman! Good job!

Jeanine May 06, 2015

Well, 7.5 I guess. BUT STILL.

Jeanine July 07, 2015

LOOK AT ALL THOSE BOOKS! Color me impressed.

I'm probably going to go off-list for the remainder of the year due to all the unread books I'd like to get through. If they match up with a prompt that'd be great, but otherwise my new goal is to read every unread book under my roof!

Lepetit pumpkinesque Jeanine ⋅ July 07, 2015

I am doing the same. If my book fits, great if not I dgaf

Jeanine July 07, 2015

Another question: How do you get all your books? Do you buy them? Borrow them from the library? Steal them? JUST WONDERIN'.

Lepetit pumpkinesque Jeanine ⋅ July 07, 2015

I buy some from the Amazon store for my kindle (my mom gave me a huge gift card for hanukkah because she is the best!) and some I get from the library. If we can share kindle books Id be happy to lend you some?

Jeanine Lepetit pumpkinesque ⋅ July 07, 2015

I looked quickly on my Kindle app and I couldn't figure out how to share/lend/borrow books. I'll have to Google it to see if it's possible!

missing maui October 23, 2015

Holy crappity crap, you have read a TON!!! I'm so impressed (almost to the point of being dismayed)!

Jeanine December 30, 2015

I'm reading Me and Earl and the Dying Girl and it's set in Pittsburgh. If you read it in the next 24 hours, you can check that off your list! Also, it's hilarious.

I'm am super impressed with the amount of books you read this year! You're a total rock star!

Lepetit pumpkinesque Jeanine ⋅ December 31, 2015

Funny story, the book was written by my very good friend Lisa's husband, one of his English students. They got to go to the special premiere and everything! It's on my tbr list for 2016!

Jeanine Lepetit pumpkinesque ⋅ December 31, 2015

It's seriously the single funniest book I've ever read. I was sob-laughing last night (alone) until midnight. I'll finish it tonight so I hope it ends well!
