Happy Turkey Day!

Today started out lovely with the Turkey Trot with [Athena]. The weather was perfect, the crowd was fun, the walk was refreshing and it was just a perfect way to kick off the holiday season. I have never done the Turkey Trot before, and I think I’d like to make it a new tradition, I had that much fun.

Then home to get ready to come over to my parents - packed up the dog, a few things to wear tomorrow and a bottle of champagne and headed to the countryside.

We’ve had a nice time - had our T-Day feast at a local restaurant and it was actually lovely, talked a lot about my brother’s new baby (their first and only grandchild), I skirted around my personal life, and discussed other people we know (and don’t know).

Then home just as it started to pour down rain. Relax, more food, a re-run of the Macy’s Parade, Love Actually, read the Black Friday ads in the paper, more relaxation, etc.,etc.

Heard from the following: SHIP (wishing me a Happy Thanksgiving, even though he’s never celebrated this day in his life), SexyPants, another guy I’ve sort of seen lately, an old, old friend’s daughter who I adore, and a guy from work I sometimes hang with. It’s been nice, if not a very mellow day…

And now I’m tired, but oh so thankful for this place to write it all down day in and day out.

Love yous, until tomorrow…

XO
