Holy cow. I’ve done 23 entries in a row. Every day. I’m so happy I’ve done this so far.
And what a month it’s been!
Today, my niece, Anna Mae was born in China. Yes, my brother and his Chinese wife who live in Qingdao had a baby!
I’m sure I’ve written of them before. Long story, but my brother went to China a few years ago in a time of…I don’t know…midlife crisis, I guess? He went to teach English for a few semesters and ended up falling in love, getting married (in true Chinese tradition) and having a baby. I love that he’s in love and having the most amazing time.
I hate that my parents will end up supporting that family.
But that’s another story for another time. :)
Everything went off without a hitch today. Woke before the alarm, took dog out, exercised, cleaned up, dropped dog off at day care, work, bullshit, bullshit, bullshit (my version of “yada, yada, yada”), picked up dog at day care, home to make dinner and pack up several lunches/dinners, short walk with dog (she didn’t want to walk tonight!), dishes, internet, entry, and shortly, bed.
I didn’t hear anything from SHIP.
I’m feeling a little bit lonely but I guess it’s because I haven’t really reached out to anyone.
I did look at Tinder today and it only made me nauseous.
I’m also feeling super creative lately. I can’t wait to take a few days off this week and early next week to decorate for Christmas. I think I need to do a New Year’s Eve party. Who wants to come?
