We were never taught growing up that we should explore the world of entrepreneurship. When I say “we”, I refer to society as a whole. School never encouraged building a business and it was always the same ideas assumed. 
Graduate school at whatever level you reach, get a job and start a family, be content working for someone else, retire one day etc…
And so that is what the majority of us did. But then the internet came along and changed everything. People are now realizing how powerful a tool we have at our disposal.
