Language is Virus — William Burroughs

I went out on a short ride today. My back has been messed up and I think it’s been days since I left the house. The mid-Michigan sky sometimes has shades of blue so damn beautiful … the sky is beautiful here. Today it is especially beautiful. This is not the only place with a beautiful sky, but I can’t think of another place with a sky this kind of beautiful.

Montana. Big sky country just sounds like a bumper sticker or a slogan, but Montana has a big sky. Not many places have a Montana beautiful kind of beautiful sky. Some places in Oregon have a beautiful sky. Portland not so much. Sometimes Portland has a pleasant sky, mostly it’s pretty non descript or it has big dark clouds that are all bark and no bite.

Today the sky outside my window is textured, the colors of blue are textured. Outside the sky comes all the way down. It inspires awe. It’s also often a pain in the ass. On a hot humid day you feel like a goose in a really beautiful and abstract rotisserie.

So the last season of Leverage was set in Portland. I’ve been in this attic for days. Half of the shows had that stupid heavy rain and lightning storm out the window at night. The only outdoors day time rain shot obviously had a few extras mixed in with locals. Um, the same guy passing with an umbrella. Besides it being the same guy, umbrellas are not as common as an outsider might think. Neither is the rain as anyone who braved Portland this summer will attest to.

They had one show that was supposed to be in DC. I don’t remember a place that looked like Pioneer square in DC, I’m sure there was never a brick with my name in DC. Also it’d be an amazing coincidence if DC’s transit was called Tri-met and its local train called Max. Heh, they replaced most signs, but didn’t on the Max. They also had to make train noises for the max, it’s electric, the first dozen or so people to get hit by it never heard it coming.

Ok, I’m crispy and crunchy. Pour milk on me and grab a spoon.
