How deep does a thought really go? Do we ever know when our thoughts leave and enter our brain? Do we have control over how our cells divide? The constantly cerebral state of life is difficult to fight. I forever ponder the fragile states of existence, the ones that rock our souls and echo deeply from our past lives. Where does my consciousness stop? Am I fused with other consciousnesses? Lately it feels as if my thoughts are flowing on a higher stream than before. Negativity seeps out. It’s like a snakebite I can easily suck away. How did I get to this state of being, when the former shell I used to wear is so accessible? So quick, now, I see the ways of the old “self,” that give way to the new “self.” Deep years, unconscious years. Waking up, the best thing ever, or the worst thing ever? Illusion serves its purpose, in film, photography, art, music. Illusion should be placed into the realm of the surreal; purely art. Illusion can’t serve a purpose in daily existence.

We get to the sunlight by moving through the shadows. Only then do we really appreciate the warmth. False warmth can keep us clammy, removed, and diluted. False warmth only lasts for a short time, until the harsh crest pulls us under.

We must hold hands and lift each other up, out of the seductive bog, and into the pure sunlight.
