We ended up re-arranging our schedule from when I last left off.
I woke up Wed. with an awful headache again. I decided not to go to my mom group meetup because of it. I waited around after taking some pain medicine and decided to go to my in-laws to swim. We stayed at the pool for a good 3 hours, which made my head start hurting even worse. I will never learn to slow down.
Ethan is ready for swimming lessons for sure. He’s been all over the pool, and jumping in. He’s just not quite ready to ditch the floaties. He has a hard time trusting himself that he can do something. I know he can swim just fine, it’s just getting himself to trust himself is the problem.
Thursday morning we didn’t do much of anything, just hung around the house. Later that afternoon at the local library, there was a magician performing that Ethan was dying to see. Ethan ended up being the magician’s assistant. He was over the moon excited to do that. We had to check out magic library books because he wants to learn how to do the tricks haha. After that we stopped at a small park to let the kids play around. The husband wanted to roll our car windows down so it wouldn’t be so hot, and forgot and left the keys in the ignition. We came back to a dead battery…fun times! Thankfully, this nice man drove by and saw we were stranded and he offered to jump our car off for us!
Friday, I’m not sure what got into Matthew but oh lord, he woke up too early, wouldn’t go back to sleep, and tantrumed all morning. I took the kids to the children’s museum in hopes for a good rest of the day. We stopped in at Chick Fil A for lunch, and on the way home Matthew fell asleep. The only way I can get that kid to sleep for a nap is in the car. He slept for about an hour, and then woke up in a bad mood again. It was just an all around not good day for him. Later on that afternoon, my parents stopped by to watch the kids so I could go to the doctor to have my blood drawn. We have been trying to get my thyroid figured out. It’s a mess. They stuck me 3 times and no blood would come out. I hate my veins! I have the worst time with giving blood. They ended up telling me that I would have to come back Monday. Ugh! It’s so hard to get someone to watch my kids. My parents live an hour away so it’s not like it’s super easy for them to get up here to watch them for that. Hopefully we will figure something out.
Today was my one and only work day at the vet. Saturdays are always super busy there! Our operating hours are out of the norm for most veterinarians, so that’s why we stay so busy. We are open through the week until 7 while all the rest close at 5. On Saturdays we stay open until 2 while all the others in our area close at 12. That’s our edge haha! It must work, we are a very very busy practice! We never have a dull day either. Saturdays are always a hard day because we work straight through with no lunch break. It seems to make the day take longer. It has been a super rainy day today, so I am taking advantage and relaxing the rest of my Saturday away.
Tomorrow we are going out on the lake with my cousin, her husband, and her two kids. My kids love hanging out with him, and this will be both my boys first time on the lake! I can’t wait!
