2008 Survey Tuesday, December 30, 2008
1) Where did you begin 2008?
At Jeff and Lisa's apartment. We drank and played Mario Cart and Atari. Little did I know it would be the last drink I would have of 2008.
2) Where do you intend to end 2008?
At the beginning of 2008 I thought I would be at the same place. By February I knew I wouldn't be.
3) What was your status by Valentine's Day?
Single.
4) How did you earn your money?
I worked as a leasing agent part time and used finicial aid for the rest.
5) Did you have to go to the hospital?
On October 15 I was induced and on October 16 I gave birth.
6) Did you have any encounters with the police?
A few times at work. Police come in and ask about residents once in a while.
7) Where did you go on vacations?
I didn't have a vacation this year. Sad for me.
8) What did you purchase that was over $1000?
I bought my first home.
9) Did you know anybody who got married?
Probably, I just can't think of any right now.
10) Did you know anybody who passed away?
One of my best friends, Angie. It's been a little over 6 months and just last night I cried wondering why she's gone.
12) Did you move anywhere?
Yes, I moved to my new home.
14) What concerts/shows did you go to?
I saw Wicked and Idina Menzel.
15) Are you registered to vote?
Yes, and I voted in this years election.
16) Who did you want to win Big Brother?
I don't watch this show.
17) Where do you live now?
In the same town as last year.
18) Describe your birthday?
My mother and I share a birthday. We both (and my dad and sisters and brother) spent it at my house hoping that I would go into labor so that Lily would be the 3rd generation born on the same day. (didn't happen)
19) What's one thing you thought you wouldn't do but did in 2008?
Get pregnant and have a baby.
20) What has been your favorite moment?
The birth of my child. Not the actual birth, but having Lily added to my life. Not an exact moment, but the favorite thing that happened to me this year.
21) What's something you learned?
The power of unconditional love
22) Any new additions to your family?
Lillian Grace, and my cousin had a baby boy.
23) What was your best month?
October when Lily was born.
24) What music will you remember 2008 by?
Elton John's "Your Song." This has been renamed "Lily's Song." Also, any music by TSO.
26) Made new friends?
I met Holly. A new girl at work who seems to be a lot of fun and very cool.
27) New best friends?
Steph and I have become really close since the passing of Angie and the birth of my daughter.
28) Best new hotspot?
I haven't been out in 12 months, 4 weeks, and 2 days.
29) Best movie you saw this year?
Movies? I did watch a lot of day time TV. I particularly like Bonnie Hunt.
30) Favorite gift of the year?
God gave me Lily. Rob updated my electric in my home. Many baby gifts.
I was given way too much this year to have a favorite. How blessed am I!
31) Favorite Night out?
None really come to mind. Seeing Idina Menzel was very cool.

RYN: I am so thrilled that Lily is doing much better and that you now feel like a human again! I'm especially happy that you got to enjoy Christmas without her having colic. I got tickled when my son said, "Hopefully she will grow out of it or at least shift it to the daytime." The part about shifting her colic to day time cracked me up!

first- i have a friend whose sister is named lilian grace and it's just beautiful.
second- i LOVE that elton john song. it reminds me of this movie in the 80s about a little girl with cystic fibrosis. that song brings tears to my eyes. haha i'm lame.
third- hope the colic thing is going better and little lily is a happy baby and not a baby in pain. [predhead]
