Untouched Memories in Poetry, thoughts

Memories of the past
and those that didn't last.
The ones that made you laugh
and the ones that made you cry.
Sitting here I think of them all.
I think of the ones that made me smile.
The ones that changed me completely.
Memories are the one thing we always have.
Rather its a memory of a friend that is no longer here.
Those memories of days when things were easier
and everything just seemed so simple.
Things change with each moment that passes
but our memories will always stay the same.
So many memories I wish I could revisit if only
for one more day. For one more moment to
have that feeling that was once there.
That feeling of being absolutely
content, knowing that everything was right.
Memories are forever, and they will never change.
Even when the world around us changes, they will
remain as they are untouched.
Sometimes memories are the one thing we have
to hold onto in times where we just want to fall.
when we think we just have no reason left to go on.
For me some of the memories I have truly are my best.
They give me strength to get through each day.
Each moment, each second, we make a new memory
but our ones already made will remain with us forever
untouched, just the same as they always were.
