Ok, here I am on Prosebox, cause I want to be where all the cool kids are. Our house is moving along at a snail's pace. For some reason when we bought the lot a month and a half ago, I really thought it would be a matter of simply having the architect throw togetehr some plans in a week or two and that we would be breaking ground by November. Ha!!!! I just signed the contract with or architect today. He estimates about 2 - 3 months for the design, HOA approval, bid, permitting process. So now I'm thinking we'll be lucky to even break ground by February or March, and we will not be in the house until late summer/early fall. I guess it's all a process and we're one step closer now, so I'll just have to be patient.
In the meantime, all I do these days is read home building forums, reviews on appliances, building supplies, etc, etc. By the time we are done with this job I should be qualified to be a general contractor.
Oh, and I'm still chugging along on the Ideal Protein diet. Down 40 pounds at this point!!! Still have another 30 or so to go, but I'm making progress. Hopefully I can find a way to keep it off this time around and not do the yo-yo thing again!!! Ugh.
So there you have it, that's what's new with me.
