Week 32 Update Saturday, August 09, 2008
So I failed the 3 hour gestational diabetes tests which means I have gestational diabetes. It has been HELL eating no carbs. I am trying though. I am having a bit of a pity party for myself considering I am 8 months pregnant and I am not allowed to eat any of my cravings. No icecream, no bread, no anything that taste good. All I can eat is meat patties, chicken, eggs, and any green vegetable. Yuck. I have actually lost 8 pounds in three weeks. However, it's the only way I can keep my blood sugar levels where they are supposed to be. It's hard. So very hard. I hate it. But, I'll do it for her.
She's been moving around like crazy. Some times it shocks me because she'll be all still, then all of a sudden she's bored of that position and changes position and really takes my breath away. It makes me smile though.
I should be getting my house next week. FINALLY. It's been very stressful. We had to scrape the peeling paint off and repaint most of it before MSHDA would approve the loan. I hope it's soon because I am exhausted. I have been packing and after about 2 or 3 boxes I have to sit down and rest. However, I must admit, since I have been eating less carbs and getting my levels down, I have felt a little better. However, I could REALLY go for a bowl of icecream right now. Ahhhh!
I am taking my computer in tomorrow to try and get it fixed. The stupid computer seems to have forgotten that it has CD/DVD drives. It thinks it doesn't. And being that it in fact DOES have these drives it needs to be fixed. I don't know how long the computer will be gone, but I am going to be lost with out it. Being that I close on the house soon, this may turn into my last entry for a loooong time. I will update as much as I can. This may mean finding the local library.
Hopefully, the computer guy can fix the problem really fast so I can be back online quickly. If not, I'll be back someday!
Love you all,
Her

You're almost at the finish line! After you have your little girl you can treat yourself to a big bowl of ice cream :-)
Good luck with the house - I hope everything goes smoothly from here on out!

I'm SOOO excited for you! You're in the home stretch now!
I'm learning first hand that diabetes sucks...I didn't get it while I was PG, but I've got it now. I'm working on it though. [Mommy2Katie]

I feel your pain. In order to control my UC,I'm supposed to stay away from fat, sugar and salt. What's left that's worth eating?:) [angelhair]
