College Roller Coaster in Scenic Routes

I have not started the countdown, but Skip leaves for RPI (which is 2 960 miles away, but who is counting that either?) in 44 days.

We are slowly chipping away at those things which Must. Be. Done.

He finally got his driver's license (which was a goat rodeo, best left for its own entry) He finally got his wisdom teeth pulled out (that was my procrastinating. But also requires an entry because he is a Loopy, LOOPY boy coming out of the anaesthesia) He finally got his roommate assignment. Now, if only said Other Lad would respond to either emails or facebook queries, I'd feel much more at ease.

We still have to attack:

Laptop acquisition. This is through the college. Just have to arrange the paperwork. Dormitory soft-furnishing acquisition. I had thought to hit Target when we got to Albany, NY, but a catalog came in the mail yesterday which might prove convenient. All necessities for Dormitory Living At RPI, with one click of a mouse. And yes, it's $300, but it's EVERYTHING, and I'd probably pay more than that in a trip through Target trying to find everything matchy-matchy.

But now, seeing as those wisdom teeth holes aren't going to clean themselves, I'd better go and encourage a cleaning... or at least a rinsing. And maybe a top-up on the ibuprofin monster pills, and the antibiotics. He's still in the swollen-like-a-chipmunk portion of the recovery.
