seriously now in Not-So-Hum-Dingers

Four days shy of two months since my last entry is just slack. I apologize.

My brother and his wife had their first baby on April 23rd. They made a beautiful baby boy named Peyton. I watched Nick change a diaper like a pro right there at the hospital. Peyton will be spending time here with Sezzie and Ashley (and Grandma Lisa on the days that she can) during the day (starting some time soon, I think?) so that should be good fun for our family.

So, what’s been up with me? I have been the only super-consistent employee at the restaurant, focusing on my work and doing a damn good job. Nothing really new about that, but I take pride in my role there. All of the other girls seem to enjoy their standing-around-chit-chatting time while they’re there, but I just keep zooming by them while I kick the dish hiney. We got a new girl named Sarah (spelled properly and everythii) who actually reminds me a lot of Sezzie (she’s performed how I imagine Sezzie would perform if she worked as a waitress there, and it’s been interesting seeing new reactions to the sorts of situations I’ve been witnessing for the past 9ish years. I worked this past Saturday, and I was sore-as all day yesterday, but I love stepping up and that little bit of extra cash is never a bad thing.

I can’t really think of what else to write about. I feel like I’m doing pretty well with life, and I’m just grateful to be living it.
