Recap in Weight, weight, don't tell me!

It's been a little while, non? Please don't take it personally, I've been sorely neglectful in writing anything meaningful in the last couple of months. Speaking of the last couple of months, I've stopped dieting completely. Well, until yesterday. Yesterday was my 2-month mark of not dieting and let me tell you: I purposely stopped. There were 2 primary reasons for this; however, only one is suitable for airing publically. You see, I got worried about my weight loss.

I know that probably sounds a little absurd. I mean, if I've got plenty of weight to lose, then why worry about losing it? The logic is quite simple. I found myself beginning to seriously obsess about it. And it wasn't the healthiest of obsessions. So, I decided to pull back a little bit.

If you'll remember, I lost exactly 20 pounds which sounds great, right? It certainly felt triumphant, but the more I started to think about it, the more I was worried that it was happening too quickly. It was less than a month that I managed to accomplish this feat - and I began to wonder if I was going to continue losing it, only to gain it back with a vengeance. It's one of the most common dieting pitfalls. So, I decided to stop obsessing over it and see if I could go a reasonable amount of time without gaining it back. And survey says?

I'm at exactly the same weight as I was when I stopped dieting!

Don't get me wrong. I'm not at all thrilled that I still have a considerable amount of weight to lose (upwards of 40 pounds!), but I also don't have any additional weight to lose. And to me, I think that's a positive sign. So, here I am getting back on the proverbial wagon. My next goal is a reasonable one, I think. I plan to be at (or below) 185 pounds before Christmas. And I can't wait to see how good that feels.
