My Goals Wednesday, July 04, 2007
I am officially half way through my math class. I have a missed 2 questions so far out of 3 quizzes and 4 tests. However, I have had 7 extra credit bonus points so I am above 100%. This is good.
So my goal is to get a 4.0 in every class I take. This is NOT going to be an easy task. However, all through school, (grade school, middle school, and high school) I did poorly. I could have cared less about school. This is excluding Kindergarden and first grade when I went to a private Catholic school where I was the top of my class. (I do well in smaller classes where individual attention is readily available) Who doesn't? Anyway, I did poorly because 1) I had no individual attention 2) School was soooo boring! 3) I was always hungry during school time
My grades starting in 2nd grade went down duby do down down. Then in high school, I had a grade point of about 2.7?? Michigan History, Choir, Gym, Phycology, Earth Science, and creative writing were the only classes that I got an "A" in. Computer programming, Algebra, and Geometry, I actually failed. (Horribly, I might add) However, I might add my computer programming teacher was HORRIBLE. Everytime I asked for help he actually said, "figure it out yourself. If you don't know, I can't help you." He simply would not help. I wanted to learn it so bad, but couldn't ever get help.
So moving on. I have never in my life gotten straight "A's" in anything. This isn't because I am stupid. It's because I am lazy. Or maybe not? My last semester of high school I pulled a 3.5 grade point average. I was working 50 hours a week. I was going to school. I was going out every Friday with my super cool boyfriend that would get me drunk while "back-roading" all night. I was staying up late studying, and getting up early to pick up all my friends to drive them to school. (I was the only one with a car!) I have no idea how I did it, except I work better under pressure.
So my goal is to get straight "A's" for my very first time. It's my last chance, right?
So after I get my associates degree in Sonography, I plan on getting a job. (duh) Then when everything is set my next goal is to buy a house. (this will be more of an award for my hard work, then a goal) Then is I don't have a boyfriend/husband by then, I plan on adopting children. Maybe even artifically inseminate? That's years away, so I am still too far away to really know exactly what I will do.
So that's my plan. Hopefully within that time I will do a little traveling too. Who knows? I have my whole life left, right? It's time I did something with it.

Read below this if you don't wanna read all the above crap. It's a much shorter version!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Phase one is "Pass 050 Math Lab".
Phase two is "Pass Biology 145, 107 Math, Writing 122"
Phase Three is "Pass last of basic course requirements"
Phase Four is "Get accepted into Sonograpy program."
Phase Five is "Finish Sonography program."
Phase Six is "Get a JOB!"
Phase Seven is "Start new life and enjoy my new home!"
Ok, that is all I have so far.
You can totally do a 4.0. You are just as smart as anyone else. I am so jealous of you doing sonography! When I was single and was considering having kids, I found a sperm bank operated through a local teaching hospital. It was under $200/round of insemination and you could view profiles online. Great goals, I know you can do it! Good luck! [nursechicrn] 7/5/2007 2:43:31 AM
The way you're going I don't think you'll have much problem achieving a 4.0 grade average.
