Math Class Update Tuesday, June 19, 2007
The math question in the previous entry was one of the 10 short essay questions for my math written assignment I had. I'll have you know, that I got it right, and the other 9 too.
I also has another test today. I got 100% on that too. They actually gave me a calculator and a cheat sheet for formulas. I didn't even need to use them. I don't remember math being so easy in school. Granted the course I am taking is all pre-algrebra and basic algebra. The test today was mostly story problems. They weren't too hard. The hardest was something like the length of a rectangle is three times the width. If the perimeter is 32 feet, find the width. It wasn't hard, but that's just because I know how to figure it out now. It makes me kind of embarrassed that I failed most of my math classes. I guess you work harder at something that you pay for!
So I still have 104% in my math class. I would have 108% but I missed the extra credit problem. I had the right answer but didn't simplify far enough! As soon as the person showed me the problem I knew exactly what I did wrong. So yeah, I was disappointed with a 100%. I have officially set the bar too high for myself!
I have another quiz on Thursday. This semester goes really fast because it's summer semester. Everything has to be twice as fast. I am right on schedule though.
