The Empty Box- A True Story Friday, June 01, 2007
The box was empty. However the parking lot was not. Cars were driving in and out of parking spaces and in and out of the lot. No one really noticed the box. No one even knew how it got there. It was empty though, so did it matter?
She walked out of the grocery store and headed for her car. It was a normal day, whatever that is. The sun was shining. People were going about their business ignoring other people just trying to focus on getting their own erronds done. No one would have even noticed anything if it weren't for her. As she got into her car she noticed the Jeep next to her. It just so happened that the person who had parked next to her had came out of the grocery store at the same time and gotten into their car too. It was when they had started their Jeep that she looked under the jeep. Tucked up against the front tire was something. Jumping out of her car she yelled, "Stop! Stop!"
The Jeep was not quite in motion yet and was slammed back into park. She reached under the it and pulled out a little black furball. As she pulled him out she noticed another person a few feet away with a furball in her hand. As she glanced around the story of the box came into focus. An empty box was left in the middle of a busy parking lot and now 7 furballs ran in fear for their lives.
She took the little black furball into her arms and held him close. He shivered and hissed in fear. She asked who he belonged to and the people all looked at each other confused. No one knew who had put the box there. The furballs couldn't be any older than 5 weeks... but probably 4 weeks old.
So the girl took the furball home as the others scooped up the rest. She then brought him into the office of where she lived and told them story to them...
It was then I fell in love with him. I couldn't help but want to keep him. It was then the girl handed me the furball and said that she was allergic. She said I could have him. It was love at first sight. And now he's all mine.
Pics on next entry.
