Murphy's Law Sunday, April 22, 2007

Yesterday, at around 8pm I decided it was finally time for me to actually go out and drive somewhere. I had been off the pain medicine for 24 hours and decided it was time to venture out and grab some icecream. However, that turned out to be harder than it seemed. I got into my car, turned it on, put it in reverse and "CLUNK." Annoyed, I got out of the car, looked at the front left tire in which I saw nothing wrong. I tried to bend over and look, but that hurt too much so I decided I would just try to back out again. Maybe it "fixed itself." So in reverse again and this time "CLUNK, POP, Hissssssss." Annoyed I shut the car off, looked at my now flattened tire, slammed the car door and called my brother.

He calmed me down and said he'd come over tomorrow (today) to look at it and fix it. (since my first plan of having it fix itself didn't work so well)

He came over today and discovered that the coil had snapped, punctured the tire, and the car now rests its nose on the pavement. UGH.

New coil and strut: $162.00 New Tire $70.00 Labor: $50.00 (my brother knows a guy)

Having the car paid for: Priceless? Still seems pricey to me.

I am off all pain meds. I still have a lot of pain, but nothing I can't work through. I have to get back to work tomorrow. Hopefully I make it. I am still pretty sore. It's more a tired sore than a painful sore. I feel like I have been standing all day, but I havn't. Everyday gets easier. I just have to remember to stop lifting things.

Ok, that's it. It's my last day of lounging around all day so I have to go make the most of it!

I had a hyterectomy with a few extras on the side. I am bloated and have not lost anything.

Manage your pain and do not over do... [Mz Odd] [p] 4/24/2007 7:36:31 PM
