Busy day at work. Got handed a well-paying freelance project for a fast turnaround. Went to Pilates. Ate well. Didn’t sleep all that well. Watched The Bachelor and Girls and Togetherness. Texted with a new guy from online who I could really dig – and then I got the sense that maybe he was married. He LOL’d when I asked him if he was and sent me some link where he was quoted in the New York Times, which proves exactly nothing. I am sure there is a hitch. Positive.
The day was a 7.5. Nothing to complain about. Nothing to brag about – except maybe that I felt great about my place in the world and wanted for nothing. Maybe that makes it a 10.

I felt great about my place in the world and wanted for nothing. Maybe that makes it a 10. This is beautiful, and so true. We can expend so much of ourselves in the pursuit of happiness that sometimes perhaps we fail to see it when it is in front of us.
