Welcome to the fifth iteration of my life.

At this point in time I am 37 years old, recently divorced and one-third of the way through a fifteen year Federal Incarceration for a computer crime I committed at age 26, with no knowledge I was even breaking any laws. I am not a drug user, thief, or murderer, nor do I have any other immoral vices. Therefore, if you hope to learn about the “criminal” mind from these entries you will be sadly disappointed. I’m just a normal, well educated man who made a few idiot decisions.

I have a degree from Northern Illinois University in English (focusing on Technical Communications) and later returned to school to prepare for admission to Medical School, so my knowledge is weirdly diverse. I love to cook and read comic books, (Batman, X-Men and Horror titles). I’m a huge movie buff, gravitating towards psychological/supernatural suspense and science fiction but I am willing to watch nearly anything once.

My favorite authors change as often as the wind direction but I reliably move anything by Stephen King, John Connolly, James Herbert and Chelsea Cain to the top of my reading pile.

If you want to catch up on my life, my previous online memoirs can be found at prosebox.net under Writer in Chains. I hope to continue to create content for both on a monthly basis at a minimum.

The entries you find within are a mixture of memoirs of the days I spend here in prison and the unique experiences it provides, writings on totally random things and a sample of my creative writing. (Soon I hope to include links to a short story collection and a novel that I have written and am publishing electronically. The cost of these will be minimal, the money going to my mother to help off-set the time and effort she expends in making my writing available for all to read). My goal really is to entertain and to educate when possible, so hopefully each time you stop by will be enjoyable at some level. If you have questions or comments please post them, they will reach me eventually and I’ll be happy to respond either personally or through a posting. Life in prison is lonely and I welcome even the simplest message from the outside world.

So without further ado, I draw back the curtain and invite you to experience for yourselves that:
