This song has nothing to do with nothing, I mean to me, if it does to you, I’m sorry, my intention was not to pick at that particular scab. I was thinking about the song today but mostly because I could only remember a few lines of Joes garage (… I had a Stratocaster with a whammy bar it went like wah wah wah wah).
I have very few peeing related issues. And I have always had very few peeing related issues and so the song is funny to me and surprising in that heretofore, or thentofore, to the best of my knowledge, no one had rhymed maracas with gonacacaus. Oh sweet mystery of life!
It’s been colder than shit up in here, as I’m sure those of you who are social on social networks have heard from just about everyone back East. Sorry. Back East is an expression Oregonians use for everywhere, to coastal Oregonians back east means Portland. Geographically it makes sense, but it takes a few years of hearing for it to stop sounding snobby and isolationist. I spent a year explaining how Michigan was the Midwest. Yeah, it’s more like mid-east.
The type of cold it’s been this year in the west is a different kind of cold. If you count wind chill it’s been below zero here for more than a week. Polar vortex just loosely tossed around a lot by the weather people on the local news channels. It’s the least banal thing they say. Their names have I’s where y’s should be. It’s not the fault of the geography. I’ve been sniffling and sneezing. That is the fault of the geography.
Most of 2015 I’ve written in this journal as a sort of obligation. I’ve had good ideas; I just didn’t bother to write them down. On a positive not and to bring this all full circle; it does not hurt when I pee.
