To go or not to go in Stuff

I came to the gym tonight after 7pm cos I know that’s when the managers and PT’s leave, but management is still here. I’m not sure why that bothers me.
I think I was so used to so few people being here in the midnight hours that now I’m surrounded by the after-work crowd and not having free reign here is a bit annoying. Having said that, I used to be here at this time before, but it was before I was due to start my shift.

I feel like I’m wasting my time here a bit today. I spent the afternoon scoffing down a packet of lollies (Natural confectionary co. but, still) and some more of my chips. Ergh. So I’m now on the bike on a really high level writing this.

I think I need to create a gym-book on here so you guys can skip over all the crap I go on about whilst I’m here. I’m surprised by the time I’m usually finished writing however, because I’ll have clocked up 20 minutes to a half-hour on the bike.

All I did today was a lot of Mardi-Gras research online, still deciding if its worth spending $600 to go down to Sydney for one night of fun, where I’ll feel out of place anyway dancing amongst 15,000 other gay men. I’ve worked out I can get a $150 return flight, $110 concession party ticket due to my healthcare card, and what I was looking at today was either one or two night’s accommodation in the CDB. It’s tough to find a good place during Mardi Gras that doesn’t up their prices extortionately, but I think I could get a half-decent hotel for 2 nights for $350. Either that or that 5-star backpackers again for $45 a night. I mean, I’d only be sleeping. I can deal with other backpackers. I did find it interesting that one place has a maximum age restriction of 35!
Or I could stay just the one night and save myself $150. Or I could not go at all and probably save $800 LOL. After food and incidentals and alcohol, it would easily be that.
So, I dunno if it’d be worth it. I always have an okay time, and Ive been SO many times now. Usually Ive gone for a week, so how is two NIGHTS so expensive?

It might be better to put that money toward the cruise in June. At least most of those guys would be my friends and I have a feeling that’s going to cost around the $800 - $1000 price tag also, since I’d be attending with an Engineer and a Miner who wouldn’t settle for anything less than the executive suite with an Ocean view.
Why do you need an Ocean view on a fucking cruise ship? It’s not like you ain’t gonna be seeing it.
I haven’t agreed to that either. I’ve told Vish that I am very concerned about becoming sea-sick, and then I’ll be stuck on a ship for a week, chucking my guts up. Not my idea of fun.

So all the mini-saving I’ve managed to do would go right out the window, if I’m to throw away approx. $1800 on two leisure trips within months of each other.

Then, of course, I think to myself that whole ‘YOLO’ saying and all that jazz. Compile on that the “I’m only getting older and uglier” factor, and I find myself quite torn.

I randomly bought a lotto quickpick at the newsagent today. Not that I’ll win anything, but wouldn’t it make decisions like this easier? :)
Of course, you’d all get a cut, so I totes deserve to win it! :P

30 minutes down. I’m sweating like a pig.
