…. have gone by entirely too quickly! My baby will be three weeks old soon and it doesn’t seem possible. She is just amazing. A whole lot easier to do this baby thing at 30 than at 20, by the way. She never cries… possibly because I never put her down. Her weight check today went well - she is up to 5 pounds 5oz and the NP says she has zero yellowing now and even commented that she has a great latch and really strong suction after seeing me nursing her. We don’t have to go back for two weeks, which is great. I really would prefer not going back at all, but I will go along with it for now since she is still very tiny. She is seen in a regular family practice office, we had issues with pediatricians not accepting Beau unvaccinated so we just decided to take Lyra to the office we all go to and so far I have not had any regrets on that. Her first visit they said “you aren’t vaccinating her, right?” and that was the end of that - plus they never suggested supplementing, which was a big issue with Beaus pediatrician always thinking he needed to gain more quickly. She did recommend I wake the baby up every two hours… probably not going to happen, but I said I would try. Honestly she isn’t really the type to wake up unless she wants to though - she enjoys her sleep. She is up every 2.5-3 hours anyway so its really not that big of a difference.
