She’s been around for 4 weeks now. Not much has changed since the last time I wrote, but we are adjusting to the sleeplessness a bit and she is starting to wake up more during the day. She is still on the “eat every 2 hours” schedule so never do I get more than about an hour an a half of sleep at a time. She does well with eating quickly and falling back to sleep though - she is usually up no more than 20-30min at a time at night and goes back down effortlessly. She appears to be growing too - we have a weight check on Thursday (she will be one month old then!). She has outgrown a few things, mostly hats - apparently she has a large head :-/ She never fit the newborn hats that came with most of her outfits and the ones she did fit leave a ring around her head now… so I guess parts of her are growing.

Her stomach though… omg - she has the worst gas pains and irritability after feeding if she doesn’t get those gas drops. She started that last Sunday and thankfully I figured it out quickly and ran out for regular gas drops as well as the mothers bliss gripe water - we use both. It helps, but seriously, if she doesn’t have those she is a miserable little fuss. I feel horrible for her and I thought it was something I was eating, but I have had nothing but bland foods and water several days this week and no change at all. I’m assuming its just regular newborn gas pains that will go away sometime in the next few weeks when her intestines and stomach get a little better at doing their job. Beau never had this so its new to me. She doesn’t cry, just grunts and squirms and kind of lets out a yell occasionally - just really restless and obviously uncomfortable. Thankfully the drops take it all away and make her happy again :-)
