I am starting to get a handle on the food issue. This is so hard for me. I just want to drive thru McDonalds, Carls Jr. or eat a whole bag of potato chips. For me this just isn't over eating, it is medicating and pushing the pain away with food. I keep thinking that some day things will get better and then I won't want to eat but I am not sure if that will ever happen. I don't want to go back and undo all the hard work I've done. I guess this could be compared to the way an alcoholic feels, wanting that drink.
I watched the Biggest Loser last night and I think that the producers just wanted Reuben to come back to the show. I listen to Jillian Michaels' podcast and she has always advised to take caffeine supplements before you exercise saying it helps you get more out of your work out. And the amount of caffeine isn't more than a large cup of coffee. She is also a very, very strong advocate for every thing organic and a natural caffeine supplement would be better than coffee. Since she has been saying this on her podcast, I am thinking this is probably not the first time she's been giving her team natural caffeine supplements. I am also thinking that this wasn't a secret but the producers wanted Reuben to stay thinking he'll be a bigger draw for the ratings so they figured out a way. Anyway, that's my opinion. Listening to Jillian's podcast really helped me lose the weight. She not only talks about the physical part of losing weight but the mental part of why you gained weight and helping you deal with that. She and her podcast producer Janet are also very funny and entertaining. One of the better podcasts I listen to. She only puts up a new one on Mondays, I wish she'd do more.
