Absolutely not in Experiences To Learn From

The saying - can we agree to disagree? 

Uhh - no. 

All that does is concede that neither of us have the energy to admit wrong. It also forces us to admit we are hard-headed, stubborn if you will. It means that - NO, I'm not listening to you anymore and I don't have anything left to counter so I am taking this route. 

We have created a culture of, "stand my ground," and to hell with compromising for the sake of common ground. Think about it - no one wants to lose an argument. Some people will cease to breathe on the hill they create. That can be admirable and bad at the same time. 

So, what is the answer? How can one successfully negotiate and compromise without losing? 

Maybe this is the wrong platform to be asking such a loaded question. 

Just what's on my mind.
