How we met in How we’re feeling about him

ok STORY TIMEEEE about my first ever mutual romantic relationship!!! So there’s this guy in my year, and he’d been in my year all of last year too, but we never talked. I knew about him bc I thought he was really cute and he was the only other Brazilian in school other than me, but for ALL of last year we didn’t speak once. He was a little bit of a hallway crush for me bc he was genuinely one of the hottest guys in the year, but since we’d literally never even locked eyes I didn’t really think about him often or as an actual crush, HOWEVER ☝️😏 we both do history and so we also both went on the school’s history trip to Berlin this February. When the trip was over, we got sat next to each other on the plane ride back and we talked the ENTIRE time. I thought this guy was out of my league and he was super chill around me, so in my head this was a completely friendly and platonic conversation that I wasn’t even stressing about, so I guess I was more myself?? But anyway, for the next two months of school after that, we went back to not even looking at each other, so you can imagine my surprise when my friend tells me that HE HAS A CRUSH ON ME!!? I was SHOOK you have no idea like jaw ON THE FLOOR for days after that. But yeah long story short we’re going on our second date this weekend!! WOOP WOOP 🙌 and what really blew my mind was that it was my CONVERSATION SKILLS AND PERSONALITY that drew this man in🫪 and I know of Tessa (really pretty and popular girl), who likes him and he’s rejected, but he liked ME first?? he asked ME out first??? It’s just crazy to me how that convo on the plane meant close to nothing to me, but it’s the reason he started CRUSHING ON ME😛😛
