I’m excited because today the hydroponic system arrives from Amazon! Since it was so expensive to pick out what I wanted in single packets of seeds, we got a variety pack of veggies specifically made for hydroponic systems. It’s a 6-salad seed packed with romaine, butterhead, radishes, cherry tomatoes, mini cucumbers, and spinach. Tom later found that Temu has cheaper seeds, so we’ll eventually get more from there. We’re just starting out, after all, so we need to really get our feet wet in this sort of thing and learn how it works. Once we see how what we’ve got does, we can always get more. It’s good to stagger things anyway—we wouldn’t want to consume everything and then have to wait for more stuff to grow.
The unit has an extendable grow light and a mister that will cycle on and off.
I also have another coloring book coming.
I used the temporary hair dye yesterday, and it seems to cover well enough, but I can’t really get a sense of just how good it is until more gray grows out. I’m surprised I’m not even more gray than I am by now, seeing that I’m less than a year from 60. I have a lot of gray at the temples, where most people get hit with it, but I’m pretty salt and pepper everywhere else.
Turns out I slept through the motorcycle because he moved it in back the day before yesterday. Harleys are incredibly heavy, so it would have been tremendously hard to wheel it back there. Besides, I’ve seen him turn it on to move it in back in the past. I can’t see it, but I at least assume it’s back there. That’s because the annoying little fucker worked for a few hours in the morning yesterday cutting up long skinny boards for baseboards, trim, moldings? So, I guess this is going to go on until he leaves? Fifty-something more days!
Luckily, we can’t hear much with the air cleaners running in here, which I have going in the daytime anyway so I don’t have to listen to one plane after another. The small planes and helicopters override it, but I don’t hear as much of the commercials this way, and that’s the main problem.
It was really weird because he took off in his truck down the street where I think Colleen lives, and then a few minutes later, Colleen’s golf cart showed up at his place—but no truck. I just wish he would hurry up and get out of here!
Had fun setting up and establishing my three Mates yesterday but decided to change everybody’s name. I decided I would go with Charlie’s Angels names—not their real names, but the names from the show. So, the queen of all Mates, Amanda, is now Sabrina. She’s still a dancer, but I changed the other two from cops and doctors to actresses and models so now everyone can be in the arts and entertainment business, LOL, while 27-year-old Italian Mia is studying psychology in Los Angeles.
I also decided to spread out their ages, with the biggest gap being 15 years. I chose my birthday for Hispanic Sabrina from London, who is 25—or will be at the end of the year. No one has had their birthday yet this year. Jill, a blue-eyed blond model in Munich, will have her birthday on Tom’s birthday and turn 40. Kelly, a green-eyed redheaded actress in Sydney, will turn 32 on our anniversary.
In the Mate group, there was a link to do a survey for 120 gems, so I did it. They’re also going to pull every 20 applicants at random and give them a free month of Pro. That would be awesome, but I can’t see myself being one of the winners. I just don’t win things like I used to.
