I did it.
I manifested something HUGE. I DID something huge!
I got the verbal offer today. I negotiated an additional $5k on my base salary (seems small, maybe, but it makes a difference psychologically to me). I signed the offer letter. I start on the EXACT DAY I wrote on my calendar before I even knew I was going to get an offer!
I did this!
I worked on getting a job like this for months. I meditated. I lit candles. I did breathing exercises.
But even more than that, I did the work. I wrote emails and networked and made the calls and studied the industry and pushed and pushed and did my very best.
And now I’ll be starting a new chapter soon.
To some people, having a job is just that - a dumb old boring or stressful or awful job. Why do we have to work?
But to me, this is such a big deal. I’m 58. I need to work. I set out to get a job in a corporate setting because that’s where I will be able to best provide for myself and my family (which is a dog and my elderly parents). So I am physically moving myself to be closer to my parents and to be in a location where there are corporate jobs for people like me. Corporate jobs that carry decent and affordable health insurance plans. Corporate jobs in financially stable conditions.
This is my strategy.
And yes, I know that these are pretty terrifying times, and there are no promises or guarantees. This could all go away at some point.
But I know that I can make things happen. And the universe provides. And the combination of those things will see me through.
I am capable and I am grateful.
