"THE LONELY HOLIDAY?" in "RESTLESS: POETICALLY-SPEAKING"

Are you lonely this holiday?
Your eyes seem to gaze so far away
You tell me you’re happy,
but sometimes it’s not what I really see.

It doesn’t always mean you’re alone
Sometimes solitude is your most comfort zone
You may be surrounded by those who care,
yet you’re longing for that special someone to share.

Are you lonely this holiday?
As much as I hate to say:
“Me too.”
Sometimes it’s difficult to escape these blues.

Guess what?
For now, we’re all we’ve got.
But we’re still relentless, aren’t we?
That’s how we choose to be
on an on-going search for what will make us happy.

This is a really good poem. I write poetry sometimes. Speaking of which, I need to post something in my poetry book some time soon.
