Can I just say I’ve never been a huge fan of the show. I’m more of a Dexter and Breaking Bad fan. When it comes to anything remotely like dark supernatural shows I’m a Dean and Sam Winchester girl (Supernatural) and I’ve found I love the show Salem. As for vampires I loved Buffy back in the day and the Angel series. When it came to darker vamps I stayed glued to my Anne Rice books and movies.
Now after watching True Blood I’m a bit disappointed. I loved Bill at first and then I couldn’t stand him. I loved Eric all through it though. I’m told the books are different and that I’ll enjoy them better so I might give them a shot.
As for Sookie…she is dumb. Seriously on the show I felt Eric truly loved her and he was there for her more than Bill. Did she pick Eric? NOPE! What a dumbass!
Now on the final episode it sort of broke my heart the way it ended. And to be honest I think I could’ve wrote a better ending. I’m not saying I loved Bill’s character by the end but..I think he should’ve drank the antidote.
Now as for the sex scenes in the show they don’t bother me really but I rather have more show than sex which was pretty much on every episode. Don’t get me started on season 2 lol. I think the only sex scenes I enjoyed was Sookie and Eric because it seemed much more sweeter and not just plain screwing like Jason and all his women lol. I think even Bill and Sookie had their tender moments but I still say Eric cared for her and showed it during.
What it boils down to is that I didn’t care for the show and won’t be buying them. I guess I’ll give the books a shot and see if I like them.
