February 2, 2026: 6 more weeks of winter.

I wrote an entry this morning. It was a manifestation entry. I didn’t think it was good for public consumption (not that I have a lot of readers, but…), but it was good for me to write down and post to the universe. A lot of it had to do with being productive.

Then! Today I was able to get the following scheduled and into my calendar:

  1. Drive to Mom and Dad’s tomorrow to (hopefully) meet the “quality inspector” from their in-home health care company. I’ve now spoken to the woman about a dozen times. It will be nice to put a face to the name.

  2. Phone call with the company I’m contracting with to settle this damn contract! Or at least hash it out better than it is right now.

  3. A stay with Marce on Tuesday and Wednesday nights

  4. A “date” with Marce tomorrow evening for Taco Tuesday at a Mexican place close to her!

  5. A meeting with the manufacturing subcontractor on Wednesday, all morning

  6. A tour of my old loft building to see if there are any places/spaces in my old building I might like to lease. I did love that old place. This is not the Treehouse, mind you, or even the old downtown building. It’s an old warehouse where I lived twenty years ago. I know some people who still live there, and I’m going to visit them and see if the vibe still fits.

  7. An introductory meeting with another colon surgeon who’s in the same practice as my hot butt surgeon. They require a face-to-face meeting (and sometimes even a face-to-ass meeting, though I’m not expecting to show this guy my ass…yet) before a colonoscopy. Is it weird that I’m looking forward to alllll of these shenanigans? Why does the idea of a colonoscopy make me happy? When you’ve gone through colon cancer, things are different. I guess I feel like I’m well looked after when I get these tests and procedures.

  8. AND I was able to get the actual colonoscopy scheduled for March 9th, so not too much outside of my targeted February timeframe. It just took a LOT longer to futz with the insurance bullshit than necessary.

  9. A not-yet-confirmed meeting to look at an old house to possibly rent.

  10. And a phone call with a recruiter about another job opportunity.

I’d say it’s been a pretty productive day, but I still have to pack and get some sleep before this little road trip of mine.

Keep on manifestin’!!

xox,
GS
